Course Info
This is a Hybrid Wilderness First Responder course with 30 hours of self-paced, online work followed by 50 hours or 5 days of in person learning. The online section is available on Canvas® approximately one month before the classroom section begins and consists of reading, case studies, videos, animations, and quizzes. The online material must be completed by the start date of the classroom section.

This is an open enrollment course held at the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau Alaska.
If you would like to take this course and not recieve college credit, please click the green registration button below. The not-for-credit price for this course is $975.
I you would like to recieve college credit for this course, click here and register for ODS 120. The for-credit price for this course is $1270, but will be based on your state residency and the tuition through the University of Alaska Southeast.
Course Location
Juneau Alaska stands on one of the largest wilderness areas in the United States. Here you can spend your time viewing wildlife, taking the fishing trip of your life, exploring atop glaciers or enjoying the city’s shops, restaurants and artistic flare.
Planning Your Trip
The University of Alaska Southeast has two campuses in Juneau, one downtown and one in Auke Bay. This course will be held in a classroom at the Recreation Center in the Auke Bay campus.
Lodging rentals abound in Juneau and the surrounding area. There are many options for hotels, airbnbs, and there is even a hostel. Although there are also many options for camping, we don't recommend it this time of year.
