Course Info

The 2-day (16-hour) Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course includes basic life support (CPR infant/child/adult & AED), Wilderness Anaphylaxis Training (WAT) and covers injuries and illnesses common when traveling or working in the backcountry.

Location Information

This course is hosted at Red River Adventures in Moab Utah. Red River Adventures is a guiding service that specializes in whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and canyoneering. Their outpost location is in the midst of Moab on the south end of Main Street. It is minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, gear shops, hotels, airbnbs, and the Lazy Lizard Hostel. There is primitive and paid camping in the area as well.

May is the perfect time of year to couple your WFA course with a little vacay of guided outdoor trips and personal adventures in the Moab area. Activities include: hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, canyoneering, whitewater rafting, paddle boarding, off-roading, dirt biking, skydiving, base jumping, fishing and swimming at Ken's Lake, visiting Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, and maybe even some backcountry skiing in the high country.
