Course Info
The 2-day (16-hour) Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is an introduction to wilderness medicine for winter backcountry users. The WFA includes basic life support (CPR infant/child/adult & AED) as well as some traumatic injuries and environmental illnesses common with winter recreation.
Registration Information
This is an open enrollment course held at the Lake County Airport in Leadville Colorado. This is North America's highest airport at an elevation of 9,934 ft! The location is close to the town of Leadville and boasts some amazing winter recreation opportunities like ice climbing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cross country and backcountry skiing, and skiing at some of Colorado's finest resorts.
