WFR Recertification Course (WRC)

24 Hours of Course Work
3 year certification
Certificates: WFR + CPR + WAT

Recertify your WFR every three years with our WFR Recertification Course (WRC). Professionals, keep your certifications up-to-date and learn the latest on wilderness medicine and care.

The 24-hour WRC refreshes a current WFR with new research in wilderness medicine based on the Wilderness Medical Society Clinical Practice Guidelines and updated industry-standard guidelines set forth by the Wilderness Education Medicine Collaborative (WMEC). Course participants will review foundational knowledge and apply newly learned skills and guidelines via hands-on scenarios and simulations.

We offer our Wilderness First Responder Recertification Course (WRC) in 3-Day and Hybrid 2-Day formats. Our Hybrid WRC format meets the WMEC’s minimum requirement of 16 hours delivered in person and is devoted to hands-on, practical skills and simulations. The learning outcomes of the traditional and hybrid course formats are the same.
