Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
16321 Pingree Park Road
Bellvue, CO 80512
Course Info
The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course is the industry-standard medical training for outdoor professionals and adventurers who work, travel, and recreate in remote and austere environments.
Course participants will build the confidence to respond to an emergency and manage patients requiring prolonged field care.
Our students report that their WFR training is hands-down the most rewarding and confidence-building course. You’ll leave this course better prepared for what adventure brings you.
What is a hybrid course?
Your Hybrid WFR consists of two parts:

- CPR and AED included
Venue Information
A WFR hosted at Colorado State University's Mountain Campus is an experience not to be missed! Nestled in a beautiful, secluded mountain valley at an elevation of 9,000 feet lies the 1600 acre mountain campus. This site offers a unique opportunity to leave the hectic pace of urban life behind and be immersed in the natural world of the Rocky Mountains.
Food and Lodging
Food and lodging are available for an additional $380. We will have a payment link for that option soon, but in the meantime reach out to [email protected] with questions.
Rustic (but cozy!) cabins hold 4 beds and have a wood stove to knock the chill off those cool evenings. Includes a hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining hall each day of the course. If you would like to extend your stay by a day or so, you can connect with Susan to make arrangements on site.
Dispersed camping is available a few miles from the venue. Note that camping (in vehicle or not) is not allowed in the parking area.
