Course Info
This is a Hybrid Wilderness First Responder course with 30 hours of self-paced, online work followed by 50 hours or 5 days of in person learning. The online section is available on Canvas® approximately one month before the classroom section begins and consists of reading, case studies, videos, animations, and quizzes. The online material must be completed by the start date of the classroom section.

Course Location
Twin Falls may be home to the awe-inspiring Snake River Canyon and Shoshone Falls, the “Niagara of the West,” but it’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to exploring south central Idaho. The area has just about every recreation opportunity you could imagine, from ballooning, BASE jumping, rock climbing, rafting, and camping to snowmobiling, skiing and ice skating. So be sure to plan some fun activities before or after your course!
Planning Your Trip
This course is hosted by the College of Southern Idaho's Outdoor Program and will be held at the Recreation Center on campus.
Lodging rentals abound in Twin Falls and the surrounding area. There are many options for hotels and airbnbs. Although there are also many options for camping, please make sure to check the weather since Twin Falls can still be very wintery this time of year!
