Course Info
This is a Hybrid Wilderness First Responder course with 30 hours of self-paced, online work followed by 50 hours or 5 days in person learning. The online section is available on Canvas® approximately one month before the classroom section begins and consists of reading, case studies, videos, animations, and quizzes. The online material must be completed by the start date of the classroom section.
Registration Information
This is an open enrollment course that is provided by the University of Arizona in Tucson. The course will be held at the Campus Recreation Center.
The city of Tucson and the surrounding area has breathtaking scenery, culture, amazing food, and a plethora of activities; so come prepared to play and adventure! The area is known for it's hiking, biking, caving, rock climbing, horse back riding, the Mount Lemmon Ski Resort, and the surrounding National and State Parks.
