Course Info
The 45-hour Hybrid Wilderness EMS Upgrade course starts with 8 hours of self-paced, online work followed by 37 hours over 4 days of in-person learning. The online section is emailed to you and available on Canvas approximately one month before the classroom section begins and consists of reading, case studies, videos, animations and quizzes. The online material must be completed by the start date of the classroom section.
You must have a valid EMT/NREMT Basic or higher to register for this course.
Registration Information
This is an open enrollment course held at the Desert Mountain Medicine Headquarters. Our historic building was built in 1895 by Anheuser-Busch and was originally a saloon and Budweiser bottling outlet. The course will be held upstairs, in what is now, the yoga studio and outside around the historic downtown of Leadville.
