Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA)

The 40-hour wilderness advanced first aid (WAFA) course is the perfect entry-level training for guides, outdoor educators, field staff, and outdoor enthusiasts who need the skills to take an active supporting role in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rescue of backcountry emergencies.

During this intensive 4-day course, participants practice the didactic material learned in class with a Desert Mountain Medicine (DMM) instructor team via drills, skill stations, scenarios and discussions.

Length:  4-5 days

Training: CPR, WAT, WAFA

Credits: College credits are available when registering for a course sponsored by an institution of higher education.
