Course Info:

This is a Hybrid Wilderness First Responder course with 30 hours of self-paced, online work followed by 50 hours or 5 days in person. The online section is available on Canvas approximately one month before the classroom section begins and consists of reading, case studies, videos, animations and quizzes. The online material must be completed by the start date of the in-person, practical field section.

This all-Women's course will take place 100% outdoors at a campsite in Indian Creek, UT located in Bears Ears National Monument. Lodging (camping) is included in the course cost. Check-in starts at 12:00 PM on the 1st day of class and check-out is at 11:30 AM on the last day of class. 

Class starts at 1:00 PM on the 1st day and ends at 11:00 AM on the last day of class.

 

Registration Information

The Women's Wild Med Program (WWMP) welcomes all women and girls (transgender and cisgender) as well as non- binary people who identify with the women’s community to register. This WFR course is for all levels for women, taught by women. WWMP is about women empowering each other to go higher and further in the outdoors, while feeling safer and more confident. We aim to cultivate a supportive environment, positive experience, and provide confidence-inspiring skills to mitigate and treat medical emergencies in the backcountry.
