Course Info:
Enjoy 84 river miles on the Desolation Canyon section of the Green River in Utah. This is a beginner friendly 5-day desert whitewater rafting trip. We will float through desert canyons past cottonwood lined beaches, and visit ancient and modern human history sites along the way.
Throughout the trip, the group will learn wilderness medicine skills and work toward their Wilderness First Aid certification. Class will be held on the river as well as in camp each morning and evening. While the WFA certification is the focus of this trip, we will also explore hikes and historical sites along the way.
The 16-hour Wilderness First Aid course includes basic life support (CPR infant/child/adult & AED), Wilderness Anaphylaxis Training (WAT) and covers injuries and illnesses common when traveling or working in the backcountry.
