Wilderness EMT - Upgrade Course
Current EMT's may use this course to obtain the wilderness portion of the Wilderness EMT. The course emphasis is on environmental emergencies, improvised splints and litters and extended patient care of the medical and traumatic emergencies the urban EMT is already familiar with. In addition, evacuation guidelines, realignment of fractures and reduction of select dislocations, wilderness wound management, wilderness drug protocols and wilderness CPR protocols will be covered.
